In the beginning

It started out as a desire for a open cockpit biplane with all the glory and accolades that come with it . If I was standing in front of an AA meeting right now (airplanes annonomous )the head shaking and looks would be more than I could bear!what can I say ...I fell in love ! The short story is my biplane needed a lot of work. The good news is I'm an old campaigner with these and enjoy this aspect of ownership. I've seen the earth from the sky enough that the horizon line is permanently edged on my eyelids and the enjoyment of learning new skills working on this lovely biplane provide hours of pleasure. I admit to having another gift. The innate ability to find interesting aircraft to fly.My buddy Gord Larsen made me a decal for my Aircraft. ". ACE SCROUNGER". I put it on my FLYBABY with pride. The other comment before I open my heart and soul in this blog is my view of aircraft ownership.If you want to own a light aircraft just to fly it , go lie down until the urge passes. Fuel costs and insurance , etc have made it a rich mans sport . This is my hobby.
